Louise and David

blenheim..home of churchill

Radio one

With so much amazing music in the world, why do they play such rubbish? Little things like this annoy me. Microcosms. I'm forced to listen to it sometimes. Actually, they did just play sweet child of mine (I had a dream about changing nappies last night) GNR - Slash on top form.

Lousie and David's wedding on Saturday in a beautiful old church in buckinghamshire.
Lovely Emma and Ewan visited on Sunday. Went to Woodstock village, near Oxford. Blenheim palace with huge parks and lakes and stuff. very pleasant. Ling Pei lives in Blenheim Palace. Sort of.

Goi and Martin were around on Monday. We visited Martin's Gran who is 93. A very very sweet lady.

This is the River Thames ("Isis") on the walk home. Suprisingly quiet and beautiful just 10 minutes out of the busy town centre.

East Oxford

Graffiti

Cowley road. There are sometimes some interesting things on the walls of Oxford, scratching the surface of the town. Also ridiculous things like graffiti in latin (not Monty Python but some silly student).

hmm..interesting...

Our new bath

Home yesterday whilst our new bath was being fitted. I like working in the flat. Peaceful, no distractions, get lots of reading and writing done. And easy to visit the fish shop.

In-between the Flowerhorns.

Jaguar cichlid. Whilst those around him are content to float on inbred glory, he confronts life with aggressive zeal. ‘The unexamined life is not worth living’. 30cm, stocky (like an overgrown Jack Dempsey), black spots, engaging (like an adult Oscar). Cichlasoma managuense (parachromis (Parapetenia) managuense).

Inverness from tent

Edinburgh

scotland

Edinburgh on Friday. The beautiful windy city.
At the moment it’s busy with visitors for the festival which lasts until the end of the month. vibrant. Full of friends. Welcoming. never enough time. Here’s a pic of the castle. Stayed with my good old friend Nick and lovely Rachel. Lunch in Leith with Jovial James. Mighty emma popped in on her way to Glasgow.

Inverness on Saturday. It’s a fantastic drive up there (especially if someone else is driving-thanks mark and paula) (and also especially if you do the scenic route due to mudslides on the A9). Ken is 30. I met Ken and Beatrice’s cute daughter..They had a bouncy castle.

Edinburgh on Sunday. Fish and chips. Met the Clark brothers and Emma. Jason is 32.

Scotrail sleepers are ok. Only 40 smackeroonees return London to Edinburgh. Leaves 11.30pm Gets in 7 in the morning. Best to avoid hoards of noisy Italians (I love Italians. But not so keen at 3 in the morning).

Bambino, bambina.

Eh?
hey. anyone there?
This is ant's blog,
There's music playing and fish dancing.
There's a bath stood upright in our hall and we can't get into our small bedroom.
Now it's John Coltrane, thanks to Nick. Can you think of a greater gift than music?
So I just wanted to see what this was about.
Could be fun.
We'll see.
